Review:

Right now, as of 11/9/21, this is my favorite book. There was so much action, and I love the story. The main character dies in the end (for once). It’s amazing.

I loved the story part of it. How Huma makes an “unusual friend,” Kaz the Minotaur, how his long-lost childhood friend returns to his life, how he’s so good and determined at saving all of Krynn.

One of the only few problems with it, it  there is a little too much action, and it felt a little mentally exhausting. I guess there was another problem with it, too. I feel like there wasn’t much character development or tiny details about Huma. I mean, sure, there was some development; he did go from just the average soldier to a famous one that killed the goddess that had been terrorizing Krynn for years, whose name is remembered for centuries to come. But, I feel like there wasn’t too much development besides that.

With the little details about this character, I feel like there should’ve been something that he does when he’s angry, nervous, or scared. Does he bite his nail or lip when frightened or nervous? Does he ball up his fists when he is angry? Did his face get warm/hot? Was there a slight twitch he does randomly? What about hobbies besides destroying the Dragon Queen? There are just some little questions like that I would’ve liked to be answered.

The last thing wrong, is that almost anyone could’ve gotten the lances from that base. I mean, not many people could’ve done it physically, but they could’ve tried. Why hasn’t Magus, his long-lost friend, told other people? Other knights?

I rate this book an 8/10.
