5/11/22 prompt #8
Bee do! Bee do! The bell rang, cueing us to leave our classroom and go to our next one.
“See you later, J!” my friend called.
“See you later, M!” I called back.
I couldn’t help smiling through the hallways. I think I even added a little skip to my step. Today, in science, we’re going to make clouds. Like, clouds that’ll float out of the vial and into the air. My teacher said you’ll be able to touch it too! I think it’ll feel super fluffy and soft. I hope so.
“Morning, J. Excited for our experiment?” my science teacher asked.
“Sure am,” I smiled.
Once the bell rang, I left my friends and took my seat. During instructions, I bounced my feet off the ground repeatedly, and when I was tired from that, tapped my foot silently on the carpet.
We were finally given our supplies in the lab, and I gaped at all the glass cylinders and tubes placed in front of me. Following instructions and containing the monster inside that wants to just but out of me like a balloon.
“Alright, when I say go, we’re going to all pour these two ingredients tog…” the teacher started before being interrupted.
