The Hunger Games Book Talk and Review

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is about a teenager named Katniss Everdeen, who lives in the seam with her Mother, Sister, and friend, Gale. Each year there is reaping, where the government picks one female and male at random in each district to partake in The Hunger Games. The games consist of fighting for survival from the mutations created by the capital and from each other. There’s only one survivor of 24 tributes.

Ever since her father’s death, Katniss has protected her family from starvation with her friend, Gale, illegally. She even signed up for tesserae, which lets her get food, in exchange for her name to be put in The Hunger Games drawing more than once. After a series of events, she ends up in the games with someone she must be in love with and protect against the other tributes.

This book is science fiction and action fiction. I recommend this book for people who like action, story, and even a little love. This book is the first of four and has a movie. This book has about 374 pages.
