How I Started WritingšŸ“

How I Started Writing šŸ“

In late 2018, I hated reading, I was just starting to write. At the time, I wasn’t writing the first book I’m going to publish, The Star Curse, I was writing a book idea I had, just to try it out. At the time, I noticed I liked writing essays for school and taking notes, so I tried writing a book.

That book is probably never going to be published, I never even finished it, I wrote like half of it, found out writing was boring, then stopped. (Correction, the other day I got a ton of ideas for that book, if I end up writing it and publishing it, I’ll let you know!) At the beginning of 6th grade, I started writing again, I loved it. I started writing again because I was inspired by a book I was reading, Serafina and the Twisted Staff. In that book a character can turn into an owl, (or hawk I can’t remember) so from that I got the idea of a cheetah turning into a human. After many thoughts occurred, one night I fell asleep and had a dream about someone with powers who was fighting a cheetah.

I thought about it more and more and found myself wishing it was a book so I could read it. After a while, I realized no one was going to write the book because one, I would probably have to pay them to write an idea I came up with, and two because they didn’t have the idea. Having thought of that, I started writing my first book.

Throughout the first half of sixth grade, during school time when I was finished with assignments and at home, I wrote my first book. Over time I began getting ideas for other books, and books I could write in The Star Battle series.

After the first book was handwritten, I typed it then went on to write my next book.

I first started writing in sixth grade, when I was eleven years old. Two years later, I have the entire series written, (typed and handwritten) now I’m onto editing, and thinking that I’m going to make writing my career.

Eventually, in mid-2019, I started liking reading as well. I finally found my genre, (action, sci-fi, fantasy.) which made me love reading as well. Want proof? Last year in 2020 I read fifty books.

Now, back to the topic. I’ve started writing at eleven years old, now I’ve written four books and many other pieces. I feel great about everything now, no more boredom.

There’s more. Since we’re here and this story’s short, I’m going to share with you another thing. I write down every book idea I get, so far I have a page and a half just of book ideas. The intention is to write most of them, so far I have enough ideas for five or six more books I wanna write, so I got a lot to do.

The good thing is, it’s almost summer so I’ll get plenty of time to write. I hope I can publish my first book soon!
